Where to find spade in fable

You should upgrade or use an alternative browser. Sorry if this sounds completely ridiculous but I cannot find somewhere to purchase a spade nor can I manage to figure out how to flash my lamp 3 times for the Lady Gray quest.

I read I could buy a spade in Oakvale but the store never opens. It can also be purchased at General Goods Stores. Press down on the D-pad and you will dig. Fable Anniversary is basically the Lost Chapters, but with updated graphics and controls. Their content story, quests, etc is the same.
