I just bought a 21 ft H2O and I need to know if anyone can please tell me what the height of the boat is on a trailer from the ground to the top we have car port and need to see if it will fit before we bring it home. Congrats and welcome. Hopefully someone can answer your question. The best person to ask, I would think, is the seller. I wish I could put my finger right on it, but last year there was a post here by an owner who was trying to figure this same thing out.
Try using the search feature on "height" or "trailer" or some other keywords and I bet you will find it within a few minutes. Good luck and enjoy your new boat! How tall is your carport? That might be the easier way to figure it out. If it's 8' tall, then yes it will fit. If it's 7' tall, then I want to say it will still fit based on other 21' boats I've had and you might need to lower the tongue of the trailer and push it in.
If it's 6' tall, it won't fit. This is true. Once you know this, add 2 to 2. This can vary, from trailer to trailer. When it comes to water, it depends on a few factors. You need to know your air draft.
In , the United States Coast Guard reported that 1. Normally, if a bridge has 10 feet of clearance to pass safely, then you may be able to pass if your boat manual says you have less than 10ft of clearance, however, I would try and go under a taller one first.
If the bridge appears to rise relative to the high point on the boat as you approach, you will clear the bridge. Skip to content Post author: Alex Post last modified: June 11, Table of Contents. My boat sits low on the trailer so I am able to fit it in my 7' garage door but most boats my size would have a hard time. The tongue is removable on my trailer also. You will probably have to measure each boat you look at as it sits on the trailer. UncleWillie Captain. This is just a reasonable guess. Be sure to measure it if your garage is not at least 35ft, back wall to door.
A 35ft long garage with a 12ft high door is one big garage. The good news is the 10ft width of a single garage door will likely not be any problem.
